Ravi Teja took a gap of 1 year to
rediscover himself and find a new genre that no-one has really explored before
in Tollywood. Sci-Fi
The genre that never really found
it's right space here in tollywood.
It was a great advantage for director
VI Anand who previously made supernatural films like Ekkadiki Pothav Chinnavada
and Okka kshanam. Naturally expectations would rise after the first
teaser. Lets see how is it.
The film starts on an impressive note
and creates a good curiosity factor making things look novel. but,
Audience were expecting something
they've never watched before. But here they serve you a pretty average revenge
drama which isn't really worth waiting for. The director could have elevated
the action scenes and the twists very well but somehow failed to do so. This is
one such film which looks good on paper but bad on the screen.
Even the actresses didn't really have
much screentime. Payal Rajput's track was written well, but the characters of
Tanya hope and Nabha Natesh's were just as similar to any Set Properties.
Screenplay could have been more tighter. Talking about the technical aspects
Background score and Songs were okay. The art director managed to recreate the
80s themes and influences. Cinematography was a class apart and the
action was good. But this film fails in the most crucial aspect i.e the script.
After the first 20 minutes you are just watching and watching and watching just
expecting when would this end. Ending twist and the scenes after that are
silly.
Positives:
* Ravi Teja Performance is very good
and his mannerisms, dialogue modulation, and body
language are stylish. his stylish look is awesome.
* Payal Rajput chemistry with
raviteja is good and her getup and performance pretty impressive.
* Vennela kishore comedy is the
biggest asset of the movie, Tanya Hope as the scientist is pretty good. in
the end Sunil Performance is very good.
* Bobby Simha and his negative
role is good. He has solid screen presence and perfornce is top class.
* interval and climax twists are
good.
* last but not the
least, Karthick Gahttamaneni does a brilliant Camera work in the movie and
his dop is main positive for the movie
Negatives :
* screenplay of the movie is very very
ordinary and director Anand direction is not good.
* except Interval, first half of the
movie is below par.
* The second half goes down as many
logics go for a toss. The film just keeps rolling without any motive and
creates a dull atmosphere in the proceedings.
* Emotions between raviteja and his
son is not worked properly.
* All those who think there will
be glamor featuring Nabha Natesh and Payal, they will be disappointed as the
heroines are hardly used in the film. Nabha, in particular, has only two or
three scenes and a song.
Overall :
over
all Ravi teja performance, energy and look is very good but the screenplay and
narration is slow and direction is below par, anyway some scenes in the movie
is terrific. A section of the audience will
connect to the concept but the general audience who look for masala
entertainment will be disappointed. So, go in with an fresh mind and without
expectations to enjoy this film.
